This has been a staple for my makeup bag since I got it 6 weeks ago. Tarte as a brand will blow you away. There is not one product I have bought that has not been incredible to work with. They are also a sensitive skin person’s dream! They do not put parabens, mineral oils, phthalates, sodium lauryl sulfate, triclosan and gluten in their products. They are Vegan and Cruelty free as well. They are a little higher price point but it will last. I know I have said that a lot but they truly are remarkable products and you get your money’s worth. Such great quality!
The clay pot Amazonian clay waterproof liner is a must have for me. The pot liner is actually the perfect size to throw in your makeup bag. It comes in Black , Brown, Bronze and Blacken Plum. I noticed that once the liner leaves the pot it will dry semi quickly. You have a little play time but once it dries it stays. The actually eyeliner in the pot after 6 weeks is still fresh and has not dried out. (If you have ever used MAC’s Fluid line, it is a great product too but the pot always dries out before you can you it all.) I was surprised. It is very creamy, not wet. Think Amazonian clay. So when you apply it, it won’t magically start spreading out. I use a Real Techniques fine liner brush or a small artist brush I bought from the art store. I like the control I have with a short brush. Just what I like to use. Everyone is different and every eye shape is different. Just play around and find what is comfortable for you. The liner does stay more matte and will not move all day. It does not transfer to the crease of your eye. I would not particularly call this “waterproof”. It does stay very well, but my eyes tend to water from allergies during the spring and it will start to come off. (PRO TIP 1: I use the back of my CLEAN hand as a pallete to load the exact about of product on my brush. PRO TIP 2: I recommend, with any cream or liquid liner, going over it with a corresponding eyeshadow. It will lock it down for sure. This is fantastic for those with super oily lids. Just a light dusting, do not overload your brush and then just tap it overtop the liner. PRO TIP 3: You can also smudge this out like a dream or use it as a base for a super dark smokey eye.) In saying that this liner is not hard to remove. …. you can use your face wash to remove it. It comes off clean and easy. Like I said its creamy not oily. I do not have to use a waterproof makeup remover. My eyes have had NO allergic reactions to this product (or any Tarte product I have used). That is why I LOVE their products. Remember to keep the product lid on it nice and tight when not in use. Would I buy this again? ABSOLUTELY! I plan on it.
